Current Updates as at 5 February 2024:

Learning Areas

We have several new learning areas in school including our state-of-the-art Learning Village, new Pupil Support Space and new reception and offices. Throughout the building works our priority is that the school continues to be a safe place that supports the learning of all pupils.

Social Spaces

Work to upgrade the central courtyard is being carried out over the February holidays. This will be opened to provide additional social space for pupils.

Building Programme

We are working closely with all contractors to ensure that there is minimum disruption to learning throughout the ongoing works.

New Main Entrance

The new main entrance is moving to the bottom of the main car park. All visitors to the school should use this main entrance.

Parking

Parking is restricted at present so please ensure you park safely and legally and, to ensure pupil safety, we ask that you do not park in the bus bays/minibus drop off area when visiting the school.

SQA Exams

Preparations are underway for the May 2024 SQA Exams, which we plan to hold between the school and the Blackburn Partnership Centre.

PE and Active Schools - pupils are being bussed to a number of local indoor sports venues to ensure they are experiencing a full PE curriculum. Our extra-curricular programme is in full swing and there are a range of activities to engage all of our young people such as such as table tennis, football, gymnastics and dance. We also continue to participate fully in the full programme of West Lothian Secondary Schools sports events.

Opportunities for learning

We are working with our partners in other schools and with contractors to create opportunities for work experience and learning opportunities linked to the ongoing building works
